Adele bigger than vinyl !
US 2011 stats. Adele – 21 sold 5.8 million copies. LP total sales 3.9 million.

Of 228 million physical albums sold in 2011 nearly 2% were vinyl.
Two-thirds of those albums were purchased at independent music stores (US)

Albums released on vinyl in UK in 2011 = 2967.
Releases selling in excess of 500 during calendar year = 75 or 2.5%
