I always say to bands not to name themselves after a character in a book or film as when they are searched for the character and not the band will come up. Such is the power of Myspace that a band’s Myspace page will appear near the top these day but still the advice holds. I also say don’t give a band a guy’s name or everybody will understandably think they are a solo artist. Step forward Sebastian Dangerfield a band with a guy’s name taken from the 1955 novel The Ginger Man. Already getting played regularly in the shop to a great response this 4 track EP is worth £3.99 of anybody’s money. It is a bit folk, a bit country, a bit pop and a bit indie but most of all it is a bit good.
