I was sent an interesting link to a blog @ http://thelastrecordshop.wordpress.com/ which to be fair is quite funny. Lampooning everything from record shops to experimental music and record store day Avalanche’s move to the Grassmarket had caught their eye. Obviously well connected they knew I had threatened to provide pony rides in the Grassmarket after my wife made more money with her pony rides at the local country park than the shop made during the summer. Should you indeed wish to have ponies at your party, and lets face it what child wouldn’t, while at the same time helping to subsidise the Avalanche cause then the website is http://www.mypartyponies.co.uk/ .
Customers can of course also help by buying coffee and cake from our now fully up and running coffee shop and while our younger customers may not be buying any music they are to be fair spending their hard earned and not so hard earned pennies on badges and posters. Any CDs, DVDs and vinyl we sell will be a bonus ! Thanks again to everybody for being so supportive already this year. Even on a horribly rainy day it is never too long before we have somebody in asking “how things are” since the move and finding something they need to buy. Look out for some interesting in-store announcements and our first exhibition at the back of the shop soon.
